I. INTRODUCTION

Plaintiffs bring this suit under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (“ERISA”), 29 U.S.C. §§ 1001 et seq., and the common law of the state of Illinois, seeking a declaration of entitlement to retirement benefits, as well as compensatory damages, prejudgment interest, and costs.
