MEMORANDUM OPINION

This matter is before the Court on 'Rad-eliffe Bancroft Lewis’s petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2241 (“Pet.”) and his motion for a temporary restraining order (“Pet’r’s Mot.”). For the reasons discussed below, the Court will deny both.

Petitioner has been charged with a misdemeanor offense, and the matter is pending in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. See Pet., Ex. (Information, DCTN U14025771, dated August 20, 2014). Apparently questions arose as to petitioner’s mental competence to stand…
