¶1 Interstate Explorations, LLC (Interstate), leases mineral rights beneath the surface estate of Morgen Farm and Ranch, Inc. (Morgen). Interstate filed this action against Morgen in the District Court of the Seventh Judicial District, Wibaux County, requesting a declaration that Morgen had wrongfully denied an easement necessary for installing a power line to operate the well drilled by Interstate on the property.
