| defendant, Joshua Gautier, appeals his conviction for possession of heroin. For the reasons' that follow, we affirm defendant’s conviction and sentence.

STATEMENT OF THE CASE

On September 8, 2014, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney’s Office filed a bill of information charging defendant, Joshua Gautier, with five counts1 of violating La. R.S. 40:966(C). On October 28, 2014, defendant pled not guilty at his arraignment.
