Defendant-appellant, David C. Allen, was charged by grand jury indictment on September 24, 1986, with one count of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to defraud, a violation of La.R.S. 14:26 and 14:53, and one count of arson with intent to defraud, a *1200violation of La.R.S. 14:53, in connection with a fire at his brother’s, Thomas Allen, home on or about September 22,1984; and, one count of conspiracy to commit arson with intent to defraud and one count of arson with intent to defraud in connection with a fire at his dwelling on or about September 27, 1985.
