OPINION

STONE, Justice.

Appellant, Anthony Hall, appeals from his conviction of involuntary manslaughter 1 Appellant pled guilty to the charged offense of involuntary manslaughter. The State submitted to the jury a special issue on the use or intended use of a deadly weapon during the commission of the offense and the jury returned an affirmative finding. See TexPe-nal Code Ann. § 1.07(a)(17)(B) (Vernon 1994). The jury sentenced appellant to five years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
