In June, 1925, a petition was addressed to the board of supervisors of Lowndes county, asking for the issuance and sale of bonds of the Caledonia consolidated school district in the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars the purpose of which was to erect and equip a school building in Caledonia, in said county and district.
