B. T. Pitts instituted a habeas-eorpus proceeding against Mrs. Sallie Booth and Miss Kittie Slappey, to recover the custody and control of Pauline Pitts, a minor child some 13 years of age, who was the daughter of petitioner. The defendants filed their answer setting up that the child -was given to them when she was 13 months old, by her mother, and by the plaintiff, who is the father.
