Plaintiff, James LaBelle, appeals from the order of the circuit court of Lake County which affirmed the finding of defendant, the State Employees Retirement System of Illinois (System), that plaintiff was not eligible for nonoccupational disability benefits due to his "gainful employment” as a member of the Lake County Board (County Board).
