The aggregate of the amounts certified by the various taxing bodies in the county of Cook to be levied on each $100 of taxable property in said county according to the valuation thereof for purposes of taxation for the year 1904 would have required a total levy at the rate of 7.588 per cent. In obedience to the act of. the General Assembly entitled “An act concerning the levy and extension of taxes,” approved May 9, 1901, (4 Starr & Cur.
