T. W. Phillips brought suit' against Mrs. Elizabeth Stewart Haynes for $219.15, and alleged that he had been employed by the defendant, through her husband acting as her agent, to do plaster and cement work in improving certain properties of the defendant; that he did the work in a workmanlike manner; that it was accepted by the defendant after it had been completed and the defendant has failed and refused to pay.
