S.A. Auto Lube, Inc. (“Auto Lube”), an Illinois corporation, filed a six-count complaint against defendants in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois alleging breach of contract and “conspiracy.” Defendant Jiffy Lube International, Inc. ("JLI") subsequently filed two petitions to remove the action to the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Illinois pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1441.
