In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendant appeals from so much of an order of the Supreme Court, Westchester County (Fredman, J.), entered May 6, 1993, as granted the plaintiffs leave to serve an amended complaint adding a cause of action sounding in negligence.
Ordered that the order is reversed insofar as appealed from, on the law, with costs, and the plaintiffs’ motion for leave to serve an amended complaint is denied.
