It appears from the record that, in 1920, there was a corporation known as the “Lead & Zinc Storage Company,” which was engaged in operating warehouses in the state of Missouri, where lead and zinc ores were stored. The headquarters of this company were in Des Moines, and the stockholders and board of directors were largely, if not wholly, citizens of Des Moines. Another company, known as the “Combs Lead & Zinc Company,” was merged with the Lead & Zinc Storage Company in June or July of 1920.
