Erica Lynn Fuller was convicted by a jury of theft of property having a value of $1,500.00 or more but less than $20,000.00 from Thomas Hughes. See Act of May 29, 2011, 82d Leg., R.S., ch. 1234, § 21, sec. 31.03(e)(4)(A), 2011 Tex. Gen. Laws 3302, 3310-11 (amended 2015) (current version at Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 31.03(e)(4)(A)) (West Supp.2015)). On Fuller’s motion, the trial court entered a judgment notwithstanding the verdict, finding Fuller not guilty of the charged offense. 1 The State appeals the trial court’s judgment. See Tex.
