The defendant, Artel Hopkins, appeals his convictions in Superior Court for Trafficking in Cocaine of 100 Grams or Greater, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Maintaining a Building for Keeping Controlled Substances, Conspiracy Second Degree, and Possession of Drug Parapher nalia. Before trial, Hopkins made a discovery request. The State responded that it intended to call an expert witness to testify that the drugs were possessed with the intent to distribute rather than for personal use.
