I vote to deny the application in its entirety.(1) Section 382 and section 122 of the Greater New York Charter (Laws of 1901, chap. 466, as amd. by Laws of 1923, chap. 780, for | 382) make the procedure with respect to sheriffs, in article 10, *599section 1, of the State Constitution, govern the removal of a borough president by a Governor. That provision, so far as pertinent, is: “ The Governor may remove [a borough president] * * * within the term for which he shall have been elected; giving to such officer a copy of the charges against him, and an opportunity of being heard in his defense.”
