Defendant Robert Medina is charged with (1) conspiring to distribute, and to possess with intent to distribute, 280 grams or more of crack cocaine, and marijuana, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846; (2) using and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c); and (3) on July 28, 2012, using and carrying a firearm in connection with a drug trafficking crime, and causing the death of a person through use of a firearm, in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(j).
