This suit is brought for the construction of the will of John Chadwick, deceased, late of Paterson, in this state, who died in 1868. The will, to which there was one codicil, was admitted to probate in July of that year. It was made August 15th, 1866, and the codicil July 1st, 1868. By the will, after certain legacies, the testator gave to his wife the use of the residue of *73his property, real and personal, for life. He died July 12th, 1868, and his widow July 20th, 1881.
