The petitioner, New York World’s Pair 1964-1965 Corporation, a nonprofit membership corporation, hereinafter called ‘1 the Pair ’ ’, has moved for an order quashing and vacating a subpoena duces tecum served upon it by the respondent, as Comptroller of the City of New York, hereinafter called 1 ‘ the Comptroller ’ ’, on the ground that the latter lacks the power and authority to issue such a subpoena.
