Plaintiffs below (appellants here) instituted a civil action against the defendants below (appellees here) in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. The complaint asked for the following relief:(1) That the Court issue an order determining the alleged trust created for the benefit of appellee Sara Perrine Carlin was fraudulent in its inception and void.(2) That the Court determine the settlement agreement, Exhibit A. to the complaint, was vitiated by fraud and that it be voided and set aside as to the stock of the defendant, appellee here,…
