This matter is before the court on the motion to dismiss appeal as moot (Dkt. # 52) filed by Appellee Voluntary Purchasing Groups, Inc., (“VPG”) on May 18, 1999, and joined by the Unsecured Creditors’ Committee (“the Committee”) on May 27, 1999. Appellants Southern Pacific Transportation Company and St. Louis Southwestern Railway Company (collectively “the Railroads”) filed a response in opposition to the motion on June 11, 1999.
