On January 27, 1967 the appellant was convicted of robbery with a dangerous and deadly weapon by a jury in the Criminal Court of Baltimore, Judge James K. Cullen presiding, and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 12 years. At arraignment he pleaded not guilty, not guilty by reason of insanity at the time of the commission of the offense and not guilty by reason of insanity at the time of the trial.
