The plaintiff, Adan Garcia Ramirez, obtained a jury verdict in the Superior Court in the amount of $5,000 for the failure of the defendant, Steven L. Graham, the president of the plaintiff’s former employer, JSE Corporation, to have in effect workers’ compensation coverage at the time the plaintiff incurred a job-related injury.2 The defendant’s motions for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and for amendment of the judgment were denied.
