Appellee corporation paid the tax and was issued a license to engage in the business of a commercial reporting agency throughout the State of Mississippi required by Section 14, Chapter 138, Laws of Mississippi 1944. In the conducting of this state-wide activity it maintains an office in the City of Jackson. That municipality demanded of appellee the payment of a tax for the privilege of engaging locally in the same activity in said municipality.
