2Per curiam
Douglas A. Patterson appeals the district court’s order dismissing his action, alleging employment discrimination and retaliation claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e to 2000e-17 (2000), and pendent state claims, for failure to timely proceed as directed by the court. The district court’s dismissal operates as an adjudication of the merits under Fed. R.Civ.P. 41(b). We affirm the dismissal of Patterson’s claims, but on the alternate ground that the court lacked subject matter jurisdiction over Patterson’s claims. In light of this basis…
