Alvin Hammonds appeals the district court’s 1 order denying his application for disability insurance benefits. We affirm.

Hammonds filed an application for benefits on January 11,1985, alleging disability since April 1, 1976, due to a stroke and high blood pressure. His application was denied initially and upon reconsideration. A hearing was held before an administrative law judge (the ALJ) on April 20, 1985. The ALJ found that Hammonds was not disabled.
