In an action for a divorce and ancillary relief, the defendant *652appeals, as limited, by his brief, from stated portions of a judgment of the Supreme Court, Richmond County (de Grimston, Ct. Atty. Ref.), dated February 29, 2012, which, upon a decision of the same court dated November 16, 2011, made after a nonjury trial, inter alia, directed him to pay maintenance to the plaintiff in the sum of $2,000 per month for a period of six years and to pay the sum of $7,500 toward the plaintiffs counsel fees.
