Appellee sued appellant for a balance alleged to be due for personal services rendered and certain sums of money expended by appellee for appellant under an alleged contract. The services were rendered in reference to the settlement and collection of certain claims against several fire insurance companies, growing out of the loss by fire in 1890 of an oil mill in Galveston.
