The appellant, Walter Reeves, filed this petition for a writ of mandamus directing Judge Dan C. King to order the return of his 1976 Cadillac Seville automobile that was seized when he was arrested for violating Alabama’s controlled-substance act. Reeves was charged with possessing cocaine; the case against him was subsequently dismissed. Reeves contends in his petition that, after the case was dismissed, the court entered an order for the return of his vehicle.
