Lopez was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, and sentenced to 12 years in prison on each count. On appeal, Lopez argued he should have been permitted to impeach the child (hereinafter “P.M.”) with evidence that P.M. had falsely accused his mother of physical abuse. We reversed and ordered that the evidence be admitted.1 The court of criminal appeals vacated and remanded our first opinion,2 and has subsequently reversed our second opinion3 concerning issues dealing with *549the right of confrontation and evidence rule…
