Defendant was convicted of the offense of petit larceny and prosecutes an appeal from that judgment. No briefs are filed in this court for either party but we have examined the record for error with care as the statute requires.

It appears plaintiff was informed against in the circuit court by the prosecuting attorney as though he was guilty of the charge of grand larceny. It is alleged substantially in the information that defendant did unlawfully, willfully and feloniously, at and in the county of New Madrid, in the State of Missouri, take, steal and carry away two certain hogs, describing…
