1. The Savannah Office Building Company, the defendant, was the owner of a large office building, and operated an elevator in connection with the building, for the benefit of its tenants and those having business in the building. The plaintiff was an employee of a tenant in this building, and, while he was in the act of entering the elevator for the purpose of 'going to the office of his employer, he was injured by the sudden and unexpected starting of the elevator.
