The prosecutor in this writ was convicted in the recorder’s court of Bloomfield of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, and sentenced to serve thirty days in the common jail or workhouse. On appeal to the Essex Common Pleas and a retrial in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicle act of 1921 and the amendment of 1924, the prosecutor was again convicted and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of thirty days in the common jail.
