This is an appeal by a guardian of an insane person from a decree of a judge of the Probate Court for Bristol County ordering the payment of $5,508.57 to the department of mental health for the care and support of his ward. The petition in the Probate Court was brought under the provisions of G. L. (Ter. Ed.) c. 123, § 96, as amended by St. 1941, c. 398.1 It is agreed by the parties *53that the ward was committed to the Taunton.
