The only question presented by this' appeal is one of jurisdiction. The ■ summons was issued by a justice of the peace of the city of Lockport, and was served in the town of Lock-port, which adjoins the city. Plaintiff took judgment by default, defendant not appealing. The latter appeals. His contention here is that a justice of the peace of the city of Lockport is an officer of an inferior local Court whose process has. no force beyond the city limits and that, therefore, the judgment rendered cannot be. upheld.
