Dobin v. Taiwan MacHinery Trade Center Corp. (In Re Victor International, Inc.)
United States Bankruptcy Court, D. New Jersey
1Opinion of the Court
OPINION
MORRIS STERN, Bankruptcy Judge.
Central to this opinion is the process of entering judgment by default following imposition of contempt-based suppression of pleadings arising from the defendant’s obstinate and continuing refusal to comply with discovery orders. The context is an adversary proceeding initiated by the trustee in bankruptcy of a corporate debt- or whose close affiliate, the defendant, has succeeded to the debtor’s entire business operation. Fraudulent conveyances are asserted by the trustee.
