Defendant, Robert S. Hunt, was indicted for the crime of rape. (HI. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, par. 11 — 1.) After a bench trial, defendant was found guilty and sentenced to imprisonment for a term of 4 to 12 years. On appeal defendant contends that he was not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and, alternatively, that the trial court improperly imposed a maximum sentence of three times the mandatory minimum.
