On June 6, 1928, Calvin W. MeFerran, Jr., and wife jointly purchased a parcel of land containing about 16 acres in or about Anchorage, Jefferson county, Ky. Immediately and on the same day they executed a mortgage on the property to the Louisville Title Company to secure $4,500 borrowed from that institution, and for which they executed their bonds payable to it as trustee, or bearer.
