Chris Christiansen, hereinafter called plaintiff, brought suit against Ed Weston, J. W. Sullivan, George C. Ruffner, R. N. Looney and J. H. Allen, hereinafter called defendants, as joint tort-feasors, and against Lester Ruffner, R. N. Looney, H. R. Wood and Ed Shumate, as sureties of said George C. Ruffner on his official bond as sheriff of Yavapai county. Two causes of action were set up in the complaint.
