This is an application for the private placement adoption of an eight-year-old infant by her maternal grandparents. Petitioners contend that based upon the lack of relationship and contact of the putative father with the child his consent to the application is not required, nor is he a person entitled to notice of the adoption pursuant to section 111-a of the Domestic Relations Law.
