DeKalb Medical Center (“DMC”) appeals from an order of the DeKalb County Superior Court reversing a decision by the Georgia Department of Labor (“DOL”), which had denied unemployment benefits to Sharie Whittley, a former employee of DMC. On appeal, DMC contends that the trial court erred in reversing the DOL’s benefit determination because some evidence supported the factual findings on which that determination was based. DMC further argues that given those factual findings, Whittley is not entitled to unemployment benefits under Georgia law. We agree with DMC and therefore…
