These cases are before the Court upon the defendants’ motions to dismiss or in the alternative to quash the service of process. The actions were instituted in each of the first four cases against the trustees of the United Mine Workers of America Welfare and Retirement Fund (hereinafter referred to as the “Fund”) which was created by the trust indenture contained in the National Bituminous Coal Wage Agreement of 1950, pursuant to authority in the Labor Management Relations Act of 1947 (29 U.S.C. § 186 (c)).
