delivered the opinion of the court:

This is an appeal from an order of the circuit court of St. Clair County finding defendant Jesse Dean in violation of his probation. Dean contends the failure to conduct a hearing on the probation revocation petition within 15 days of his detention, in violation of section 5 — 3(4) of the Juvenile Court Act (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1975, ch. 37, par. 705—3(4)) deprived the circuit court of jurisdiction and entitled him to a dismissal of the charge.
