An action was brought by the plaintiff, a Massachusetts corporation, with its principal place of business at Springfield, Mass., for merchandise sold and delivered to the defendant’s wife and children, which merchandise was claimed to be necessities. The affidavit of defense set forth that the merchandise did not constitute necessities, and that the purchases were not authorized by the defendant.
