Appellants Lawrence Oesby and David Parker were convicted by a jury of two counts of assault on a police officer with a dangerous weapon (D.C.Code 1973, § 22-505(a), (b)); two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (D.C.Code 1973, § 22-502); and one count of carrying a pistol without a license (D.C.Code 1973, § 22-3204).
