This action was commenced on November 24, 1926, by James E. Peurifoy, Receiver of the American Bank & Trust Company, against I. M. Mauldin, the former president of the bank, and the American Surety Company of New York. The complaint alleges that the American Surety Company of New York executed and delivered its bond, whereby it insured the American Bank & Trust Company in the sum of $25,000.00, against any loss of moneys, securities, or property through any dishonest act committed by any of its salaried officers or…
