In a negligence action to recover damages for personal injuries, the defendants City of New York and Joseph Ferraro separately appeal, as limited *669by their respective briefs, from so much of a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Nahman, J.), entered September 8, 1987, as, after a jury trial, inter alia, is in favor of the plaintiff and against them in the principal sum of $2,036,458.34.

Ordered that the judgment is modified by deleting the provision thereof which directed the payment of interest measured "from the 3rd day of February, 1984” and substituting therefor the language "from…
