The PEOPLE v. Lewellen

After trial by jury in the circuit court of Adams County, Anna Lewellen was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in the death of her husband. She was sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of not less than 5 nor more than 15 years. She appeals directly to this court, on the theory that a constitutional question is involved.
