This action was brought by John McMe-nemy, a former Rochester, N.Y. firefight*281er, on January 14, 1994, in the United States District Court for the Western District of New York. The complaint asserts causes of action under 42 U.S.C. § 1983, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. (“Title VII”), and the New York Human Rights Law against the City of Rochester and several of its employees.
